Description

I finally made it to Machias Seal Island to visit the puffins and other sea birds. My expectations were very high but the experience was even better. My one goal pictures was a puffin in flight toward me with multiple fish in its bill. I am happy with this result! These birds fly very fast at about 50 mph and when they land on the island, they immediately go into the rocks to feed their young so the birds with fish in their beaks were hard to see.
