The forecast was for clouds and rain so I was not expecting much of a sunrise. However as it rose, the color exploded through the clouds and lit up the sky. Once the sun was fully above the horizon, all of the color left. If you woke up after 5:45 then you would not have thought you missed such a colorful morning. This is looking East from Long Island between Chebeague and Hope Islands.
